Eleonas Eleonas combines the quiet of nature with comfortable stay and traditional food. Guests enjoy genuine Cretan hospitality and the beauty of the mountain. Daily cooking classes and horseback riding for children are offered. The traditional style of the interiors, as well as the architecture of the guesthouse are perfectly attuned to the natural habitat. There are a lot of areas suitable for hiking, climbing or trekking and maps and information on the mountain paths are provided. Important archaeological sites and beautiful beaches are found nearby. The most popular sites are Faistos in 20 km, Gortina in 13 km, Agia Triada in 15 km and Knossos in 45 km. It features archery equipment, 2 playgrounds (both outside and inside) and 20 mountain bikes for guests to use. Mountain rides can be arranged with the 4x4 vehicle provided at the guesthouse. Eleonas proposes many alternative activities to choose from. Guests can take part in cooking classes and learn how to prepare traditional Cretan dishes, or help to grow vegetables, harvest vines and feed the animals at the on-site farm.
