Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later, 50 percent of total price of the reservation will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra bed

All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All children under 12 years stay free of charge for extra beds. All older children or adults are charged EUR 25 per night for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

The Ionas Hotel is made up of 9 elegantly decorated rooms and a beautiful roof top terrace. It can be found in the neighbourhood of Plathia Rouga, Splantzia (the Old Town) Chania. The wooden facade of the building has been recreated based on the original Ottoman remains. Venetian elements, including the stone archway of the hotel entrance, have been repaired and restored.

Distances: Chania harbour waterfront is 100 metres away. Chania airport - 10 km, Rethymno - 59 km, Heraklion Town and airport - 130 km. There is a small beach 500 metres away, with larger beaches at 4 km distance from the hotel. The Ionas Hotel shares its neighbourhood with the church of Agia Irini and the monastery of Santa Maria della Misericordia, in the Old Town of Chania. Chania is a city of unique beauty, boasting a rich cultural heritage and inhabited by friendly locals. With its ancient monuments, Venetian Harbour and historic Old Town, there are plenty of attractions for visitors. The city centre of Chania is steeped in history, starting with the Municipal Market or the Agora, visitors can follow the winding cobbled paths and explore its heritage. Nightlife can be found at the charming Venetian port of Chania, where there are a large number of restaurants, trendy cafes and bars. The nearby village of Platanias also has a wide variety of bars and club. Many nightclubs and bars offer beach parties on warm summer nights.

Travel information

If entering Chania from the airport on E. Venizelou Street, turn right onto Daskalogianni Street. If entering Chania from the National Road, upon reaching the Municipal Market of Chania, turn right and then take the second left turn onto Daskalogianni Street. Once on Daskalogianni Street, going toward the port, take the third left turn, just before Splantzia Square, into what becomes the pedestrian walkway of Kallinikou Sarpaki. At the far end of the square you will find Ionas Hotel.
